INTELAGARD manufactures compressed air foam systems in these configurations:

ball.gif (924 bytes) MACAWTM   Backpack design for car fires, brush fires and where it is imperative to get to the fire quickly and efficiently. Uses a minimum of water to achieve maximum results.

ball.gif (924 bytes) MERLINTM Compressed air foam dispensing

ball.gif (924 bytes) FALCONTM   Truck mounted system to deliver high volumes of foam on a transportable platform.

ball.gif (924 bytes) 300/55/750    Permanently installed systems where quick response for fire suppression with a minimum of water damage is required. Excellent for building exteriors and Historical structures.

All types of conventional foams can be used with any of the INTELAGARD products.

CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL WARFARE DECONTAMINATION
Left: Decon foam with Macaw deployment unit

The MACAWTM and MERLINTM portable compressed air foam dispensing systems from Intelagard can be used to deploy the SNL DECON formula Sandia Labs and Envirofoam Technologies.

This special formulation is for the mitigation and decontamination of chemical and biological warfare agents such as ANTHRAX etc..

This formula can be deployed as a foam, and can be used by first responders to the scene of a domestic CHEMICAL OR BIOLOGICAL WARFARE (CBW) ATTACK and by personnel assigned to restoration of an affected facility after an attack. Tests of the non-toxic, non-corrosive aqueous formulation on chemical and biological simulants and live chemical and biological agents indicate that the formula works quickly and effectively and does not generate any toxic byproducts. This formula is also available in a hand sprayer.

ANY OF THE INTELAGARD FOAM DELIVERY SYSTEMS CAN BE USED WITH THE SANDIA LABS FORMULA OF CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGIAL DECONTAMINATION FOAM.

ball.gif (924 bytes) MACAWTM Backpack

The MACAWTM is the first totally independent compressed air foam (CAF) backpack in the world. It is designed for comfort and  durability. The MACAWTM expands the five gallons of carried water protein into as much as 250 gallons of finished foam. A 35 foot projection stream keeps emergency teams safe while providing immediate fire management, vapour suppression exposure protection or bio-chemical decontamination. Ideal for mop up  operations, vehicle fires, prescribed burns, industrial area fire control, limited access fire response and equipment decontamination as well as biochemical decontamination.

The MACAWTM carries 19 litres of mixed foam in 10:1 up to 50:1 expansion ratios depending on type of foam used and expansion Ratio as well as pressure settings.

The MACAWTM operates from a 2216, 3000 or 4500 PSI compressed air cylinder (max Dia. 7”) and will accept any manufacturers SCBA cylinders within those parameters. Hoop wrapped, composite or carbon fiber are preferred to keep the weight down.

Approximate weight is 60 pounds with full tank and cylinder.

TOTALLY PORTABLE FOR RAPID FIRE RESPONSE –  FULLY INDEPENDENT OF HOSES
SIMPLE TO OPERATE –  COMFORTABLE TO WEAR
PROVEN PERFORMANCE –  HIGH QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
ADJUSTABLE HARNESS –  INTERCHANGEABLE NOZZLES
PRESCRIBED BURNS – REMOTE FIRE FIGHTING – MOP-UP – EXPOSURE PROTECTION
INDUSTRIAL AREA FIRE CONTROL – VEHICLE FIRES (Less Clean-up) –
VAPOUR SUPPRESSION (Fuel Spills) – AGRICULTURAL APPLICATION
SPOT FIRE CONTAINMENT – WET LINE CONSTRUCTION – CRITICAL HABITAT PROTECTION
HISTORICAL STRUCTURES - BOAT, MARINA AND CARGO PROTECTION

ball.gif (924 bytes) The MERLINTM is the latest compressed air foam dispensing product from Intelagard.  This new unit is built into a portable cart allowing a firefighter with full SCBA to wheel the cart into a hazardous environment.  The MERLINTM holds up to 15 gallons of mixed foam in two 7 ½ gallon tanks.  Its design allows the user to carry two different types of foam ie: Class A and AR-FFF or all one kind.  The cart can carry two SCBA high or low-pressure cylinders and has a 20’ dispensing hose with an array of optional nozzles.

The MERLINTM is the latest compressed air foam dispensing product from Intelagard. This new unit is built into a portable cart allowing a firefighter with full SCBA to easily wheel the cart into a hazardous environment. The MERLINTM holds up to 15 gallons of mixed foam in two 7 ½ gallon tanks. For fire fighting applications this design allows the user to carry two different types of foam ie: Class A and AR-FFF or all of one type. This compartmental design also makes it easy to store decontamination foam for CBW (Chemical and Biological Warfare) decontamination. The MERLINTM can carry two SCBA high or low-pressure cylinders and has a 20' dispensing hose with an array of optional nozzles.

ball.gif (924 bytes) TRANSPORTABLE FOAM SYSTEMS

The FALCONTM truck mounted CAF system from INTELAGARD is a modular designed component compartment with control panel, and a self-contained rotary screw air compressor. Main components may be purchased to augment existing equipment.

ball.gif (924 bytes) PERMANENT FOAM SYSTEMS

INTELAGARD also manufactures three permanently mounted systems.

These self-contained foam systems are available in three sizes and can be totally self contained not requiring any external energy source to operate.
